CSKA Moscow forward, Ahmed Musa has expressed gratitude
to Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr for paying him a visit in Russia, Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports.
The German coach, who was in Sochi for the 2018 World Cup
Team Workshop, took time out to see the Nigeria international at his club in
Moscow.
The national team handler is expected to announce his
roster for the upcoming pre-World Cup friendlies against Poland and Serbia in a
week's time, March 7 and Musa is among the notable names expected to be on the
list.
The 25-year-old, who completed a loan return to the VEB
Arena outfit in January transfer window after enduring a torrid time at
Leicester City, posted picture on himself with Rohr on his Instagram page,
describing the 64 year old as a great teacher who has inspired him in the round
leather game.
“Words cannot express the gratitude I am feeling for what
you did. I appreciate your generosity.
“What did I ever do to deserve you? You are amazing! A
great teacher inspires and you have inspired me to excel in the game of
football. I stumbled and failed but you taught me to never give up and keep on
trying. I just want to say THANK.. THANK FOR THE VISIT,” Musa said via @ahmedmusa718.
Over 250 delegates from the 32 participating teams took
part in the workshop, including coaches, team doctors and experts in technical
areas, media cooperation, accommodation, security, logistics, transport and
marketing.
The Team Workshop is essentially the last opportunity for
countries to look behind the scenes and find out about key elements of the
World Cup’s organisation. A series of informative session was held, covering
different aspects of the upcoming competition, from security to technical
issues.
