Godwin Aguda: Rangers will fight for every point

By Akeem Lawal
ENUGU Rangers forward, Godwin Aguda says every point is now important to the team as they prepare for their final four games of the 2017/2017 Nigeria Professional Football League  season, Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports.

The Flying Antelopes welcome Katsina United in one of the matchday 35 fixtures at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on Sunday before traveling to Ogun State to take on Remo Stars at the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium. Their last two games will be against Enyimba (home) and Plateau United (away).

Rangers progressed to the Round of 32 of the Aiteo Cup at the expense of Kogi United and in a chat with Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com, Aguda said the team cannot afford to drop any point at this moment as they hope to stay clear of relegation zone.

"First and foremost I will give glory to God for everything that happens as they finally awarded the game to us. We are very happy qualifying for the next round of the Aiteo Cup competition as we are hoping to play in the final and win the trophy for our fans this year.

"Our fixture against Katsina United is a game that the two teams will be going all out for the maximum points. We really need the three points. Right now we needed every available points.

"Rangers players and coaches are coming together to make sure that we put everything into that game to ensure that we come out victorious on Sunday.

"We are not under any form of pressure because we know that as a team we can do it and we know we are going to move away from the relegation zone, which we are already out of anyway. So after this Sunday we will make sure we do not go down,” Aguda told Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com.
