THE Chairman of the Ondo
State Football Agency (ODSFA), Otunba Tajudeen Akinyemi has made a rallying call
to Sunshine Stars FC ahead of the all important Aiteo Cup second Group B match
with El kanemi Warriors on Wednesday.
Sunshine Stars made a slow
start to life in Kano following a barren draw with Giant Killers, Supreme Court
FC in Monday's group B opener at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.
However, while addressing
the players after a short work out at the same main bowl Tuesday's afternoon,
Akinyemi charged the team to go for the jugular in the next matches, and
expressed believe in the team's chance to qualify from the group.
"I’m aware of the
result of your first match and also the weather conditions, but football is
just like that at times. Right now we must be ready to play for a win in our
next game.
"I know you guys have
the quality and in unity can do it; you are fantastic set of players. You have
all what it's take and believe you can deliver tomorrow, am I right?"
The players responded in
strong affirmation and promised to go for a win against an El Kanemi Warriors
side that lost 2-1 to Rangers in the group's other opening game yesterday.
The Sunshine Stars - El
Kanemi Warriors game kicks off at 2p.m. on Wednesday.
