KWARA United Technical
Adviser, Abubakar Bala has assured that his team will not soft-pedals but go
for an outright win over Kano Pillars in their last group match of the 2018
Aiteo Cup at the Agege Stadium on Friday.
The Harmony Boys are already
through to the quarter final of the completion after defeating Rivers United
1-0 in the second Group C game on Wednesday to top the group with six points
after Kano Pillars loss to Abia Warriors in a corresponding fixture.
.In a chat with
Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com, Bala who knows that his team holds the key to Masu Gida
qualification in their last group game, said his aim is win the Aiteo trophy.
“We have mapped out our plan
as we have our target. My personal target last season was the finals of the
Federation Cup and this season I want to surpass that record.
“Our plan from home is to
get the nine points available from this group and we are working towards that.
We will play Kano Pillars with the same winning mentality because we want to
leave Lagos with the maximum points.
“The most important thing is
about the mentality of the players. It has been totally changed from the level
they were, to let them believe in themselves that they can do it. They don’t
belong to where they were before and they can make it to the top. We’ve changed
that mentality and every support of the management in terms of motivation and
other benefits has been pushing the boys forward,” Bala told Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com.
