Rotterham United defender,
Semi Ajayi says it was an honour to represent Nigeria after featuring in Super
Eagles’ 3-0 victory over Seychelles in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier
at the Stade Linite, Victoria, Seychelles on Saturday.
Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports that the 24-years-old showed his
versatility when he replaced injured Chidozie Awaziem, who was stretched out in
the 73rd minute.
The Super Eagles new boy
could not hide his feeling as he took to the social media to express his joy
for the opportunity to represent his country at the highest level.
“Was an honour to make my
international debut today. Humbled to finally represent my country at the
highest level and even more grateful to mark it with a win and clean sheet.
Thank you God ๐๐พ๐ณ๐ฌ๐ฆ
#SuperEagles,” the
former youth international said on his verified Twitter account @SemiAjayi.
He will no doubt be hopeful
of more opportunity when the Super Eagles welcome Libya next month in
continuation of the qualifiers.
