KWARA United Technical
Adviser, Abubakar Bala says the team will approach the second Group C match of
the 2018 Aiteo Cup against Rivers United with different mentality.
Bala, who guided the Harmony
Boys to a 5-1 victory over Abia Warriors in their opening match at the Agege
Stadium on Monday said the team will capitalize on the weakness of Rivers
United, who lost 2-3 to Kano Pillars earlier in the day.
“Our target is to play in
the in the final and possibly win the trophy. I want to surpass my achievement
where my team came second.
“We watched Rivers United
match against Kano Pillars today. We took our time to study their team’s
strength and weakness. So, we are coming out on Wednesday with a decent game
plan to capitalise on their weakness and hold them on their strong areas.
“We have concentrated mostly
on change of mentality of the players, we’ve also did a very good job on motivating
the players, we also introduce new style and character into the team. Now we
have a solid team that can face any club in the Premier League,” Bala told
