Shane Lawal visits Barca stars during training

NIGERIA national basketball team, D’Tigers center forward Olaseni Shane Lawal paid a visit to Ciutat Esportia on Thursday to watch FC Barcelona training.

The Barcelona Lassa forward who was top performer for Nigeria at the 2015 Afrobasket triumph even took pictures with first team players including Andrés Iniesta, Dani Alves, Neymar, Sergio Busquets and Rafael Alcántara (Rafinha).

Lawal is among the 27 players called to camp by the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) for the country’s quest for the Olympic Games basketball laurel at Rio 2016.

The 29 year old who is in race to be fit for the basketball event of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games posted pictures he took with the Barcelona stars accompanied by a short message, "Cool People".

The FC Barcelona first team returned to training on Thursday after two days of rest, with the focus now solely on the crucial title-decider on Saturday.

Luis Enrique’s men take on Granada away from home knowing that a victory will secure the league trophy.

The team has been in hot form of late, with four wins on the bounce and scoring 21 goals without reply. There would be no better place to continue that form than at the Nuevo Estadio de Los Cármenes.

The manager oversaw Thursday’s session with all available first team squad members.
