VILLARREAL are set to raise Nigeria international, Samuel
Chukwueze’s basic salary and increase his release clause up to €60M (about
N24bn), to ward off reported interest from Liverpool, Real Madrid and Bayern
Munich, Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports.
According to reports in Marca, the increment will be
included in a new long-term contract offer proposed by the Spanish outfit to
the Nigerian.
The report states that his current deal, which runs up
until 2023, includes a release clause of €40m (about N14bn).

first team last season, and he has quickly established himself as fans
favourite at the El Madrigal.
The 20-year-old who is expected to join the national team
next week ahead of the October 13 friendly against Brazil in Singapore has
feature in six of their seven La Liga games so far this season, and he looks
set to play a key role this season, alongside Santi Cazorla and Pau Torres
Javi Calleja’s side confirmed earlier this week that
Torres has signed a new deal, up to 2024, after a fine start to the season,
after a year-long loan at Malaga in 2018-19.
