Nigeria International, Wilfred Ndidi has been listed in the Premier League
Team of the Week for Matchday 7 of the Premier League following his outstanding
performance in Leicester City’s 5-0 thrashing of 10-man Newcastle United at
King Power Stadium on Sunday.
Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports that the Super Eagles midfielder
capped an excellent performance by scoring the fifth goal of the game to help
the Brendan Rogers side record the biggest win of the gameweek and reclaim
third place in the Premier League table.
His performance however earned him a place on the Premier
League team of the week for gameweek seven compiled by highly respected website
Sports Mole.
“Perhaps the best performance of the weekend as a whole
came from Leicester's Wilfred Ndidi, who produced an outstanding all-round
display against Newcastle. The Nigerian's 90th-minute goal capped off a showing
in which he won nine tackles, made five interceptions and won the ball back 12
times,” the website said while describing the performance of the Nigerian.
The 22-year-old is joined in the midfield in a
star-studded formation by Chelsea’s Jorginho and Aston Villa’s John McGinn,
making it a goalscoring trio in the middle of the park this week.
Ndidi’s teammate Jamie Vardy, who scored brace against
Newcastle lead the attack with Manchester City’s forward, Riyad Mahrez
operating from the right and Chelsea’s Willian from the left.
Liverpool defender, Virgil van Dijk and Sheffield
United's defender will operate from the heart of defense, with Leicester duo of
Ricardo Pereira and Ben Chilwell completing the defense line.
