SUPER Eagles and Villarreal
forward Samuel Chukwueze is the subject of interest from Premier League clubs,
according to a report in Spanish authoritative news outlet, Marca.
The 19-year-old Nigerian is
enjoying an impressive debut campaign in the first-team squad and has become one
of his side's most valuable assets, netting seven goals in total this season.
Fortunately for the Yellow
Submarine, they tied him up to a new contract last summer that included a 40
million euro release clause.
The talented teenager joined
the Spanish club in 2017 for just 500,000 euros, despite being heavily linked
to both Porto and Monaco.
He impressed during Tuesday
night’s pulsating 4-4 draw against Barcelona, in which he scored, which is said
to have alerted many top-flight clubs in England.
Speed, agility and wonderful
technique are just some of the skills that Chukwueze demonstrated on the
Estadio de la Ceramica pitch against the league leaders.
According to Marca, his
agent has already informed the club of the potential interest from several
Premier League clubs, but Villarreal are eager to retain his services for the
next campaign.
