Stakeholders meet to ensure hitch-free home games for Plateau Utd

A collaborative meeting aimed at finding a lasting solution to fans encroachment into the New JosStadium  during league matches has been held.

Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports that the meeting which was at the instance of the Plateau State Football Association, Plateau United Football Club, Plateau United Supporters Club and security agencies took place at the PFA office in Jos.

A statement signed by Gibson Onuma, Chairman, Communique Drafting Committe and three others, resolved that any person or group of persons that does not have any business in the arena, would henceforth not be allowed to trespass into the arena.

“Fans and supporters alike must from now, pay for the stipulated gate fees before gaining entrance to the stadium.

“The meeting also resolved that anyone found flouting the new directive shall be outrightly arrested and prosecuted by the law enforcement agents

“That from now henceforth, the stadium authority and management of Plateau United should ensure that the stadium tunnel at the New Jos Stadium is completed in order to enhance proper security,” the communique read.

The meeting was initiated by the PFA as avenue to find lasting solution to the pitch invasion that resulted to the banishment of Plateau United by the League Management Company LMC last month.
