MFM vs Sunshine Stars: Dogo demands fair officiating

By Akeem Lawal
SUNSHINE Stars head coach, Kabir Suleiman Dogo has called for fair officiating in their Nigeria Professional Football League matchday 10 encounter against MFM FC billed for Wednesday at the Agege Stadium, Lagos.

In a chat with Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com, Dogo said his team is targeting the three maximum points from the clash against the Olukoya Boys, to make up for the points lost in their 1-1 draw to Bendel Insurance at the Akure Township Stadium on matchday 9.

“I am not satisfied with just four points from a possible six from our last two home games. Our aim was to get the maximum points in both games but unfortunately we were held by Bendel Insurance in the second game. We thought we would sustain the momentum when we defeated Katsina United 2-0, but that is football for you. You win some, lose some and you draw some.

“We have left that behind us and more focused on the task at hand against MFM in Lagos. Not taking away anything from that team, MFM is a good side not minding the fact that they parade young boys. They have been able to win their matches at home and we are aware of that. Since I joined Sunshine Stars, we have played against them In preseason tournaments and I know their approach to games.

“What is most important is to get a fair officiating because I know what my players are capable of doing on the pitch. Give us good officiating and you will see the best from the team. We want to recover the points we dropped at home by going for the maximum points against MFM,” Dogo told Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com
