MOUNTAIN of Fire and
Miracles Ministries FC mercurial midfielder Tunde Azeez says his team will
claim top spot after their Wikki Tourists game this weekend.
Fidelis Ilechukwu and his
youthful side will host Wikki in Matchday 6 of the Nigeria Professional Football
League (NPFL) scheduled to hold at the Soccer Temple, Agege Stadium this
Sunday.
The Olukoya Boys have
already won twice in five meetings with Wikki while the visitors have only
managed to record a win and a draw but Azeez believes the Lagos-based side will
continue their good run at home this Sunday with another win against the
Bauchi-based team.
"We are looking forward
to the weekend clash. We have been working so hard and the intensity is high.
"We are also moving on
gradually and by the grace of God at the end of the weekend game I believe we
will go back to the top of the table."
The versatile midfielder
talked about his game and expressed his gratitude to the team captain Austin
Opara.
"I have been enjoying
myself since I joined MFM FC. I am enjoying my game here because I have a lot
of time to play. I also like the philosophy of our coach, he is free to
everyone of us and very free to me.
"I am grateful to the
captain of the team, who advises me most times about our games and there is no
pressure on me," the former Titan Football academy of Lagos told MFM FC
Media shortly after his team's training.
Both teams have been able to
amassed six points each from four NPFL games. MFM currently occupy the third
spot on the Group A table while the visitors sit in the fourth position.
