FOLLOWING Plateau United’s
surprise 1-0 loss to newcomers, Kada City Stars in a matchday 19 fixtures of

Wednesday, the club management has invoked the no work, no pay rule on the
players.

General Manager of the Club, Pius Henwan, who addressed the players and
technical crew at the team’s training ground on Thursday, explained that both
the players and technical crew will be placed on half salary pending when
results improve.
He lamented that despite
management commitment in ensuring the prompt payment of their salaries and
other entitlements, the players are not reciprocating that gesture.
The general manager, who
expressed displeasure with the team lacklustre against Kada City Stars noted
that the team must recoup the points lost at home by winning their next match
away at Umuahia or at least pick a point.
Henwan disclosed that
management has started taking stock of the players performance and anyone who
does not justify his place in the team will be shown the way out at the end of
the first round.
He challenged the players to
brace up for the task ahead regretting that Wednesday defeat has put the team
in a tight situation which requires immediate response.
While appealing to the
players to show more commitment, hard work and dedication to the goals and
objectives of the team this season, the Henwan appealed to them to raise their
game in order to realize their target.
