The management of Plateau
United Football Club of Jos says fans are allowed to watch their Nigeria
Professional Football League matchday 10 clash against Kada City Stars of Kaduna at the New Jos Stadium on Wednesday.
Media Officer of the Club,
Albert Dakup informed Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com that the insinuations that the match would
be close doors are not only false, but a calculated attempt aimed at depriving
the team the much needed home support aimed at galvanising the team to victory.
“What the League Management
Company LMC directed the club to do is simply to ensure that unauthorized
persons should not be seen outside the perimeter fencing of the stadium before
and during matches. Only the medical team of the two clubs and security agents
are allowed within the tracks and outside the the perimeter fences.
“We equally advice fans and
supporters to abide by the order as anyone found violating the new directive
will be decisively dealt with by the security who have been properly briefed by
the new order.
“The management of the Club
on collaboration with the Plateau State Football Association is therefore using
this medium to appeal to the general public especially soccer fans to take note
of the new directive,” Dakup said.
It would be recalled that
Plateau United were banished from their home ground after hoodlums attacked center referee, Sam Agba after its Nigeria Professional Football League week
one fixtures against Ifeanyi Uba ended goalless.
Plateau United who are
presently occupying the 8th spot on the Group B league table with 11 points
from 9 matches, will host bottom placed Kada City Stars after serving their
three match banishment in Ilorin and Lafia.
