Copa Lagos 2019: Ogbonna bags MOTM award as Nigeria beat England 7- 3

NIGERIA’S beach soccer team, Super Sand Eagles began their campaign at the 2019 edition of the Copa Lagos Beach Soccer tournament on a winning note by defeating England 7-3 at Eko Atlantic, Victoria Island, Lagos on Friday, Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports.

Super Sand Eagles player, Emeka Ogbonna won the Man of the Match (MOTM) award for his all round contribution at ensuring victory for the two-time African champion.

African kings, Senegal defeated defending World champion, Brazil 5-4 earlier in the other match.

In the club competition, Ghana’s Keta Sunset Sport picked up the first win after beating Kebbi BSC from Nigeria 3-1 on penalties.The Nigerians forced the game to penalty shoots having come from 3-1 down to draw 4-4 in regulation time.

The Ghanaians will next take on Pepsi Football Academy, who lost 7-1 to Gidi Sharks.
