I’m not tired of scoring, says Ajani Ibrahim

By Akeem Lawal
RANGERS International forward, Ajani Ibrahim believes his brace in a 3-0 victory over Yobe Desert Stars in the Nigeria Professional Football League matchday 15 game, has proven that he still has a lot to offer the Enugu-based outfit.

Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports that the former Sunshine Stars and Shooting Stars striker, who was voted Man of the Match, scored twice in the first half before setting up another for Bright Silas four minutes from time to give the former NPFL champions the much deserved victory at the Cathedral.

“I’m happy to open my goal account with two goals. Yobe Stars gave us a good fight, they played very well but we were better. This is not my first time of scoring; everybody knows what I am capable of doing and I hope to continue from there.

“I’m not tired of scoring goals and can’t set a definite target for myself. I will continue to give my best to the team whenever I am called upon by the coach. This team boasts of good players and I am happy to be part of it.”

Next game for the Gbenga Ogunbote’s men is away to Niger Tornadoes at Maman Kontagora Stadium, Minna on Sunday April 8th and Ibrahim is optimistic of the team picking away victory.

“We are going there for the maximum points and we will try our best to come out victorious. We know it will be a difficult mission but we are ready for the task,” Ibrahim told SportingLife.
