NIGERIA Professional Football League experienced forward,
David Tyavkase believes Lobi Stars draw away to Mountain of Fire and Miracles
Ministries (MFM FC) in the Matchday 10 fixture at the Agege Stadium, Lagos on
Sunday was well deserved.
The draw saw the Pride of Benue move to the 8th position
on the log with 14 points in nine games, while the Olukoya Boys are 12th with
13 points after the same number of matches.
The African Champions League winner with Enyimba, who
came in for matchday captain, Austin Ogunye in the second half of the encounter,
said getting a point against the CAF Champions League campaigner is a morale
booster for the team as they welcome Akwa United in a rescheduled NPFL game on Wednesday.
“I feel happy getting a point against MFM. For about two
seasons we’ve been losing here, but this time we really prepared for the game
and told ourselves we will not be leaving here empty handed and that was what
happened.
“The next thing is to look forward to our next game
against Akwa United at home on Wednesday, so we are ready for the game. The
point we got against MFM will give us more confidence and we will be relaxed to
play the match,” the former US Bitam of Gabon striker told Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com.
The veteran player stated his main aim this season is to
secure a continental slot with Lobi Stars at the end of the season.
“I am looking forward to have a continental ticket
because that is more important and that is why I am here. We are working very
seriously on playing continental football next season,” Tyavkase told Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com.
