MOUNTAIN of Fire and Miracle Ministries (MFM FC) forward,
Chijioke Akuneto has expressed delight after scoring the only goal that secured
a place for the Lagos-based team in the next round of CAF Champions League.
Akuneto’s 85th minute header was all the Olukoya Boys needed to beat AS Real de
Bamako of Mali in their preliminary round second leg tie decided at the Agege
Stadium, Lagos on Wednesday.

revealed that the team never doubted their victory over Bamako, said the aim
now is to get to the group stage of the money-spinning competition.
“I want to say a big thanks to our fans and Nigerians at
large. The defender was flat footed, so I came from behind to steal the ball
from him by flying to nod the ball. This goal means a lot to me and I am very
happy because this is my first continental gold and I hope to score more.
“We know that so many people are expecting great
performance from the team and we are going to try our possible best to get to
the group stage first and then see what will happen.
“When the game was still goalless, we were under
pressure, but we believed that at the end of day we are going to be victorious
maybe by one or two nail, “Akuneto told Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com.
The Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu tutored side will now face the
