IT was double headache for Super Eagles defender, William
Troost-Ekong on Friday as Bursaspor suffered a 5-0 defeat to Galatasaray in the
Turkish Super Lig clash at the Turk Telekom Stadyumu, reports Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com.
The defeat was not the only pain the Nigerian and his
team had to suffer as he equally shown a straight red card in the 38th minute
of the game that saw fellow Eagles stars Shehu Abdullahi and Mikel Agu on
parade for 90 minutes.
Hat-trick by Bafetimbi Gomis and a goal each by Garry
Rodrigues and Serdar Aziz fired Galatasaray to top of the table with 47 points,
from 23 matches while, Bursaspor are 11th on the table with 27 points from 22 matches.
It was no doubt a day to be remembered by the Nigerian
international, who had helped the Green Crocodiles keep eight clean sheets,
registering two goals in 26 appearances across all competitions.
The defeat also means the Paul Le Guen’s men are winless
in their last six games.
