NIGERIA'S representative in the CAF Confederation's Cup Rivers United have arrived in Kaduna ahead of Wednesday's Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Matchday six tie against Kano Pillars.
The "Pride of Rivers" returned to Nigeria from Port Novo, Benin Republic on Sunday after defeating Bloemfontein Celtic 3-0 (5-0 aggregate) and on Monday flew in comfort abroad Azman Airline to Kaduna for their Wednesday's league match against hosts Kano Pillars, the club have announced.
This travel plan is part of management's programme to ensure the players are in the right frame of mind and not tired leading up to the NPFL Matchday 6 fixture, the statement read.
The Azman flight from Lagos lasted for 60 minutes, while the road trip could have been for 16 hours.
Kano Pillars will play host to Rivers United on Wednesday 27th January 2021 by 4pm at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna.
