Emmanuel Dennis was left out of Club Brugge’s Champions League clash against Borussia
Dortmund on Tuesday night because 'he couldn't sit in his favourite seat on the
team bus'. The Belgian side lost 3-0 to the German giant on the night with Erling Haalands' brace and a goal from Jadon Sancho.
Belgian outlet Het Laatste Nieuws report that the Super Eagles striker stormed off the bus when he was told he couldn't sit where he wanted.
Brugge have placed strict measures on the team bus amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The Nigerian forward, who scored in his side's 2-1 victory over Zenit St Petersburg on matchday 1, will reportedly be fined for his outburst.
Brugge manager Philippe Clement confirmed the Nigerian forward was fit but not available but was dropped for disciplinary reasons for yesterday's group stage fixture.
"Dennis is fit, but not in our selection," he said. "He didn't follow the club's rules, that's all I want to say about that. I prefer to concentrate on the players who are available to me," he said in a press conference ahead of the encounter.
The 23-year-old has been with Brugge since 2017 and scored twice in a Champions League clash at Real Madrid last year.
He also scored in the 2-1 win over Zenit St Petersburg on match day one in this season's competition.
