SUPER Eagles and Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho believes Sheffield United will pose a stern challenge for the Foxes today at the King Power Stadium.
The 23-year-old, who featured for just 45 minutes in Brendan Rodgers side’s 4-1 defeat at AFC Bournemouth last Sunday, however commended their opponent for their performance this season.
"They’ve done very well," he said. "I think that the manager (Chris Wilder) has done a great job there. It’s not easy coming up from the Championship and be in the position they are.
"They’re in a great position and should be very proud. They’ve got some good players and we know it won’t be an easy game for us. As I say, we just need to focus on what we can do,” the former Manchester City striker told CITY Matchday Magazine.
The Nigeria international hopes Leicester can recover from Sunday's frustrating result at Bournemouth with a win to reward the Blue Army for their support from home.
"It’s been great seeing the level of support we’ve been receiving from people’s homes.I know they’re not in the stadium, but you look at the way in which they have decorated their homes and it looks as though they could be in the stadium.
"When the game starts, we can see them on the screens in the stadium and that makes us happy. Hopefully, they will be back with us soon, but we really appreciate the support from home. We’ll do our best to make them proud," he added.
