Coronavirus: Onuachu recovers, to resume training on Friday

By Akeem Lawal
SUPER Eagles and KRC Genk forward Paul Onuachu has fully recovered from the coronavirus, Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports.

The Nigeria international went into isolation for seven days after he tested positive for the deadly virus when all the Belgian Jupiler League clubs have to undergo compulsory test.

He has now been given the all-clear to resume team activities after returning negative.

Head coach of the Belgian side, Hannes Wolf confirmed that the 26-year-old, who missed the club’s last training match, is expected to resume training with the rest of the players and also be available for the team next warm-up game on Friday.

“But Friday he will just train with the group. Paul can also compete against Excelsior on Friday in the exhibition match.

“The other players and the rest of the entourage also tested negative”, Wolf stated.
Onuachu joined the Blue-White last summer from Danish side Midtjylland and has become a key component of Hannes Wolf’s team.

The Nigeria international scored 10 goals and provided two assists in the recently ended 2019-20 campaign, helping his side to finish seventh.
