NEW Kwara United striker,
Ebenezer Odeyemi has predicted a formidable strike partnership with Segun
Alebiosu ahead of the Nigeria Professional Football League season.
The duo gave a glimpse of
what to expect in the coming season during the just concluded Gold Cup
preseason tournament held in Akure with Odeyemi scoring crucial goals and also
creating assists for Alebiosu who emerged the highest goal scorer with three
goals.
In a chat with Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com,
Odeyemi said, “The coach used to tell us that our combination will be very
formidable if we play according to his tactics and how he wants the team to
play. Playing along with Segun Alebiosu is something I desire that will bring
so much result. I’m looking forward to a deadly partnership that defenders will
be scared of.”
The former Niger Tornadoes
forward revealed that he joined Kwara United so as to continue his football
development under Coach Abubakar Bala.
“I have my personal reasons
for joining Kwara United. I left Katsina United based on personal reasons.
Coming to Coach Bala, he is a coach that I’ve worked with before at Niger
Tornadoes. So I looked back and told myself that coming back to him will help
my game. He is the kind of coach that will tell you the truth about your game,
improve your game, tell you what to do to improve your game. That is why I’m
back with him and I believe with him and hard work, I will still improve more,”
Odeyemi told Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com.
