THE Vomoz Mobile Man of The Match in the semifinal match of the 2018
Gold Cup preseason tournament between Kwara United and Cynosure FC, Ebenezer
Odeyemi says the award will motivate him to do more ahead of the new Nigeria
Professional Football League season.
Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports that the Kwara United striker was on target as the Harmony
Warriors defeated Cynosure FC 4-2 on penalties after 1-1 draw at normal
regulation period to book their place in the final of the 6th edition of the
tournament against Sunshine Stars, scheduled for Ondo State Sports Complex in Akure on Saturday.
The former Niger Tornadoes forward, who was voted the Vomoz Mobile Man
of The Match with his all-round performance said, “I thank God almighty and
also have to thank the organizers of this tournament because they have given us
the opportunity to express ourselves. I’m highly honoured to receive this award
and it will motivate me more to do more. I believe by working hard, I can still
achieve more.”
Odeyemi revealed that he joined Kwara United so as to
continue his football development under Coach Abubakar Bala.
“I have my personal reasons for joining Kwara United. I left
Katsina United based on personal reasons. Coming to Coach Bala, he is a coach
that I’ve worked with before at Niger Tornadoes. So I looked back and told
myself that coming back to him will help my game. He is the kind of coach that
will tell you the truth about your game, improve your game, tell you what to do
to improve your game. That is why I’m back with him and I believe with him and
hard work, I will still improve more,” Odeyemi told Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com.
