NIGERIA internationals, Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred
Ndidi have expressed satisfaction after Leicester City secured 2-2 draw away to
Stoke City on Saturday, Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports.
The Foxes took the lead courtesy Vicente Iborra in the
33rd minute but Xherdan Shaqiri leveled matters for the hosts three minutes
later.
The Algeria international restored the lead for Claude
Puel’s side in the 60th minute but Peter Crouch’s headed goal from Shaqiri’s
corner with 13 minutes left to play ensured the match finished all square.
While Ndidi played full 90 minutes, Iheanacho was
introduced into the game in the 58th minute as a replacement for Shinji Okazaki.
Iheanacho who was making his 8th appearance believes the
team should be very proud of taking a point from the Bet365 Stadium, despite not
getting the three points.
“Three points would have been great. However, the team
should be very proud we took a point from a difficult away ground. We keep
going #LCFC,” he tweeted via @67Kelechi.
Ndidi, who has been ever-present for the Foxes this season, commended the traveling fans for their
support as he now shifts his focus on the national duty.
“We will keep going, Massive support from the traveling
fans. Safe travel back home. National duty calls🇳🇬”, he posted
on his official Twitter account @Ndidi25.
