Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong has warned compatriot, Kenneth Omeruo that it will not be a brotherly affair when his club, Bursaspor take on Kasımpaşa
in the Turkish Süper Lig matchday 11 on Saturday.
Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports that Troost-Ekong is among the players invited by the head coach
of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, for the 2018 World Cup qualifier against
Algeria and a high-profile international friendly against Argentina, while on-loan
Chelsea defender, Omeruo, was placed on standby.
Troost-Ekong has played in all 10 league matches, scoring
two goals for 7th placed Bursaspor this season, while Omeruo has featured in
six league games for Kasımpaşa that occupy the 13th position on the league
table.
24 year old Troost-Ekong uploaded a picture of his
training on his Instagram @wtroostekong ahead of the away fixture billed to hold at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadyumu (İstanbul) with the caption, “Last work done,
ready for Kasimpasa tomorrow! ⚔️🐊 #Texas #Bursa.”
Omeruo however responded, asking his fellow compatriot, “Are
you sure you are ready ? 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
are you sure?
Troost-Ekong then replied, “@omeruo ⚔️🐊🇳🇬
Tomorrow na war Broo.”
Ekong will however be banking on his Nigerian team mates Mikel Agu and Paschal Okoli, while Omeruo will be counting on Emem Eduok to get
the job done in the attack.
