SUPER Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo is currently in mourning over the death of his father, Paul Ighalo, Sportsbiz247 reports.
According to the Watford striker, the dad died while he was sleeping in the early hours of Monday, April 25 in Lagos, Nigeria.
Ighalo announced the death just hours after he played for Watford in their FA Cup semi-final 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace at Wembley.
"A few days ago, he complained of weakness," the Nigerian international told ESPN. "He was taken to hospital for treatment. This morning he died in his sleep.
"The season is almost over, and it might be a while before all the funeral arrangements are complete, so although I will continue to stay in close contact with my family over there, I will be here with my club until then."
Watford are 10 points clear of the relegation zone in the Premier League with four games remaining.
