FORMER Nigeria international, Odion Ighalo, has landed in Riyad, Saudi Arabia ahead of his move to Saudi Arabian club, Al-Shabab, Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports.
The former Super Eagles striker, who was reported to have agreed a permanent deal with the Arabian top flight club, uploaded a picture on his Instagram page shortly after arriving Riyad on Monday.
Even though Ighalo did not add any caption, the location of the picture which read “Riyad, Saudi Arabia” on his Instagram status, confirmed the player’s present location.
The former Watford striker had been relaxing in Dubai, the capital of United Arab Emirates after ending his loan move at Manchester United.
Ighalo’s move to Al-Shabab is however subject to him passing a medical and agreeing personal terms.
Ighalo's loan spell at Manchester United from Shanghai Shenhua came to an end earlier this week.
He was due to return to his parent club but they have given him permission to speak to the Saudi Arabian side.
The transfer window in Saudi Arabia runs until February 7.
The 31-year-old scored five goals in 23 appearances across all competitions for United after arriving on Deadline Day last January, but has made only two starts this season since Edinson Cavani joined in October.
Ighalo, a member of the 2019 AFCON bronze winning Super Eagles team had also been linked with clubs in the English Premier League, Major League Soccer (MLS), Qatar as well as in Spain.
