Uzoho: My injury taught me some lessons

By Akeem Lawal

SUPER Eagles and Apoel FC goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has reflected on his latest injury and admitted he has learnt a lot while out of action close to a year, Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports.

The Nigeria international just recovered from a ligament suffered during his country’s international friendly outing against five-time world champions Brazil in Singapore back in October last year.

The 21-year-old, who has been taking part in individual workout since arriving at the Cypriot outfit on a three-year deal from Spanish club Deportivo La Coruna, began training with  his new teammates few days ago.

The Nigerian revealed that one of the lessons he learnt is the fact that no condition is permanent as there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel.
“My injury has taught me a lot of lessons and one out of the many is that bad times will definitely pass and light will shine again,” he said on his Twitter handle.

Uzoho also sent words of encouragement to his former side, Deportivo La Coruna, who were relegated to the Segunda Division B - Group 1, the third tier of Spanish football, 20 years after winning the La Liga.

@RCDeportivo you’ll be back to the top where you belong 🙏🏽 No matter the distance I’ll always love you #FORZADEPOR,” he concluded.
