SUNSHINE Stars coach, Kabiru Suleiman Dogo has charged
his players to maintain the winning momentum when they host Plateau United today
in the Nigeria Professional Football League matchday 15 encounter at the Akure
Township Stadium.
Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports that the Akure-based outfit followed their 2-0 defeat of Jigawa
Golden Stars with another 2-1 memorable victory over Wikki Tourist in a matchday 14 encounter in Bauchi,
thanks to goals from Anthony Omaka and Fuad Ekelojuoti.
The second successive away victory over the Elephants
moved the coach Dogo charges to sixth place on the NPFL log with 22 points and
the gaffer believes the players must not get carried away but focused on the
next challenge.
He said the team needs total support from the fans and
all the stake holders at home.
“The result we recorded in Bauchi did not come on a
platter of gold as we had to work hard to earn it. Apart from the victory, you
can see the synergy in the team, the players are playing with more
coordination.
“We need to follow this result up with a win at home,
otherwise it will be wasted. Playing at home usually comes with more pressure
from the fans but we have addressed that. All the stake holders are now working
in the same direction to see that the team achieve its aim this season and
that's why I want to call on the good people of Ondo State to come out and
support us with unity of purpose,” Dogo told Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com.
