Spanish second division side,
Elche have confirmed the signing of Super Eagles’ first choice goalkeeper,
Francis Uzoho on a season-long loan deal from relegated side Deportivo La Coruna.
Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports that the Spanish side made the
announcement via their official Twitter account on Friday with a five minute You Tube video
of the goalkeeper.
“New Video
Today we reacted to the recent signing of #ElcheCF Francis Uzoho (@Uzohof). The
Nigerian arrives from the Deportivo de la Coruña”, the club said alongside the
video.
Elche were thrown out of the
top division in Spain last season as a punishment for failing to pay tax debts,
despite finishing 13th on the table.
Elche were left without a
first choice shot stopper, following the return of Unai Simón to Athlétic de
Bilbao last week.
The club named a youth-team goalkeeper, Adrián Real, as substitute in their goalless draw with Granada last weekend.
