RECUPERATING Nigeria international, Henry Onyekuru has
returned to Nigeria to spend time with his family after suffering an injury while playing for
his loan club Anderlecht, Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports.
Onyekuru, who uploaded a picture of himself on crutches
with his younger sister on his verified Twitter on Saturday, believes that spending
time with members of his family will speed up his recovery.
“Had to come back
Home π³π¬ to spend time with the family. Family time speeds up
the recovery, God willing I’ll be back better and stronger ππΎπ€πΎ#Baby

said along with the picture via @henryconyekuru.
The Super Eagles forward was stretchered off the pitch 13
minutes from the end of his side's 1-0 Jupiler Pro League victory over KAS
Eupen on 22nd December after falling awkwardly under a challenge.
An initial scan by Anderlecht showed that the 20 year old
will undergo a surgery and there were concerns that the Nigerian could be ruled
out for the rest of the season and possibly miss next summer's World Cup.
However, the Everton loanee, who has scored nine goals in
19 league appearances for Anderlecht so far this season, later revealed that he
doesn't require surgery on his knee injury and could be out for a shorter
period than was initially feared.
