EX-INTERNATIONALS, Kanu Nwankwo and Vincent Enyeama join other
national team players including Super Eagles vice captain, Ogenyi Onazi, Brown
Ideye, John Ogu, Alexander Iwobi, Asisat Oshoala and Kelechi Iheanacho in praying
for the speedy recovery of ailing Carl Ikeme, Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports.
Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports that the Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper has been diagnosed
with acute leukaemia and will begin an
immediate course of chemotherapy. His international team mates like Jude Ighalo, Kayode
Olanrewaju, Elderson Echiejile, Ndidi Wilfred, Shehu Abdullahi and Alhassan
Ibrahim amongst others also shared their thoughts on social media,
such as Twitter, Instagram and Facebook to wish the 31 year old quick return to
action.

Kanu posted on his Instagram page @kingkanu4, while Enyeama wrote via his
Twitter handle @vinpee: "God be with him @Carl_Ikeme
@NGSuperEagles we pray for success and healing."
For Onazi, “As Super Eagles family, and lovers of
football heroes, let us come together, support and pray in solidarity for one
of our own - goalkeeper Carl Ikeme who has just been diagnosed with acute
leukaemia. This is a trying time for him and his young family. We have to pray
collectively for his full and complete recovery. Your messages of goodwill to
him will be a great help. Your prayers will be even greater. It's tough times
but God is our tower of strength. @carlikeme,” he said via @Onaziogenyi.
For Ideye @OfficialIdeye, “Just woke up to see a very sad
news about @Carl_Ikeme with God you can overcome everything, stay strong mate.”
