FORMER Super Eagles and Al Shabab striker Odion Ighalo is still basking in the euphoria of scoring his sixth goal of the season after just eight games in the Saudi Professional League.
Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports that the former Manchester United striker once again put in an outstanding performance for the Saudi Arabian side, scoring the last goal in their 3-0 win over Al Batin at the Hafar Al-Badin on Saturday.
Carlos Junior had given the visitors the lead in the 24th minute, while Hattan Bahbri doubled it five minutes later before the ex-Nigeria forward completed the route with a cool finish in the 72nd minute.
“+3 points”, the 32-year-old posted on his Twitter page alongside pictures of his goal celebration.
Ighalo, the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Golden Boot winner, joined Al Shabab after completing a loan term at Manchester United.
He finished his first league season in the Middle East as Al Shabab’s joint-second top scorer, tied with Portugal’s Fabio Martins with nine goals.
