Coach of Nigeria women
wrestling team, Akuh Purity says the female wrestlers are ready to win all six gold
medals at the ongoing 12th African Games in Morocco.
World wrestling silver
medalist and five-time African champion,Odunayo Adekuoroye (57kg), nine-time
African champion, Blessing Oborodudu (68kg); two-time Commonwealth gold
medalist, Aminat Adeniyi (62kg); African champions, Blessing Onyebuchi (76kg),
Mercy Genesis (50kg) and Bose Samuel (53kg) will compete in the women freestyle
wrestling event.
Akuh said the girls will perform
better than the 2015 All African Games held in Congo Brazzaville.
He revealed that he and the
technical crew have watched clips of some athletes who pose as threats.
"We are prepared for
every team coming to wrestle on the mat, and taking all six gold medals
available; I am confident they will do better.
"By the special grace
of God, the girls will do well. The girls are determined to make the nation
