By Akeem Lawal

SUPER Eagles of Nigeria will launch the new NIKE wears when they take on Algeria and Tunisia in the forthcoming international friendlies, Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports.

The Gernot Rohr side will take on the Desert Foxes at the Wörthersee Stadium, Klagenfurt tonight before engaging the Carthage Eagles at the Jacques Lemans Arena on Tuesday, October 13.

Even though some Super Eagles players including Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze, Wilfred Ndidi and William Troost Ekong and Super Falcon stars Asisat Oshoala and Rasheedat Ajibade have already modeled the new Nigeria Football team jerseys via their social media accounts, the team will be showcasing it to the world in the games.

Media Officer of the Super Eagles, Toyin Ibitoye, who made this know in an interview with Sportzone is optimistic of a favourable outings in both fixtures.

“We’ll be using the new jerseys. I think we will be using the home for one of the games and away for the other game. We hope to play well to leave a good reflection of the new jerseys because you know our people, if you play a game and you didn’t win, they will say maybe it’s the jersey that didn’t allow you to win. So it is important for us to get off on a good note.

“It’s going to be a difficult games but I have confidence in this team that we would all that we can and hopefully it will be good enough to get us a win,” Ibitoye said.

Recall that the current kits being won by national football teams in Nigeria took the world by storm when they were launched on the margin of the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals.

NIKE received three million orders for the kit prior to the release into the market in May, 2018; and on the first day of the sales in London, NIKE shops ran out of stock within one hour of putting out the jerseys.
