Dogo urges Sunshine management, fans to embrace peace

By Akeem Lawal
Sunshine Stars head coach, Kabiru Suleiman Dogo has made a passionate appeal to the club management, Supporters, fans and other stakeholders to come together and rally behind the team.

After losing 2-1 to Enyimba in the matchday 12 of the Nigeria Professional Football League in Aba last weekend, the Akure-based club now found itself in the 8th position on the Group A log with 13 points.

In a chat with Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com, Dogo said no progress could be made by any team when all those that are supposed to be the back bone of such club are engaged in in-house fighting.
“I want the good people of Akure to see themselves as one when it comes to Sunshine Stars. I want all the stakeholders to come together and work in the interest of the team.

From the club management to supporters and fans of the club, they should stop the rancor.
“We can see the way others are supporting their team with commitment in togetherness. We should also emulate such because there will not be progress in any environment that is not peacefull,” the former Nasarawa United handler said.

Sunshine Stars will play host to Kwara United at the Ondo State Sports Complex in the NPFL matchday 13 on Sunday and Dogo now wants Owena Whales adherents to come out in large numbers and throw their weight behind the squad.

“Fans should come out and support us. Right now we are creeping back to where we belong and we will count on them,” Dogo told Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com.
