Plateau’s Salomon Junior out of El-Kanemi tie

.Hamisu Sale returns

By Akeem Lawal
PLATEAU United defender, Salomon Junior has been ruled out of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match day 27 tie against El-Kanemi Warriors billed for El-Kanemi Stadium, in Maiduguri on Sunday, Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports.

Salomon failed to recover from the injury he sustained during the team’s 2-1 loss to Abia Warriors in a match day 25 encounter in Umuahia and subsequently missed last wednesday's 1-0 victory over Nasarawa United.

Media Officer of the club, Albert Dakup, who informed Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com about the development, however, said the Peace Boys have been boosted with the return of Hamisu Sale who was suspended for the matchday 26 game against Nasarawa United.

“We don’t have much injury worry except Solomon Junior who sustained injury during our match against Abia Warriors and did not play against Nasarawa United.

“Hamisu Sale who was suspended during our game against Nasarawa United will be available for selection and most likely take his place in the defense.

“We thank God for our journey to Maiduguri, we got here around 3.30 pm and everybody is looking forward to the encounter. We want to make sure that the players got enough rest and that was the reason the management said we should be here early enough.

“Aside from the match bonus by the club, the Technical Director, Ahmed Ibrahim usually have a surprise package for the team whenever they pick win or draw matches at away. The special bonus which was instituted by the technical director at the beginning of the season, in collaboration with a foreign partner is his own modest contribution towards the success of the team,” Dakup told Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com.

Plateau United are still topping the league table with 48 points, while host, El-Kanemi are 5th on the log with 40 points.
