NIGERIA international Moses Simon has expressed his appreciation to the fans of FC Nantes for voting him Player of The Month for August, Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports.
The Super Eagles forward made the appreciation on his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday.
Simon beat three other shortlisted players to the club’s monthly award after polling 58 percent of the votes.
He was the standout performer for his side last month after registering three assists in four games played in the league.
Simon was presented with the award just before their last home game against Angers on Sunday.
Nantes however suffered a 2-0 loss to the visitors and the 26-year-old urged his teammates to remain focused ahead of their next game away to Angers. 
“It is difficult when you lose but is part of the game...we keep working hard💪🏾and focus on the next games. Thanks to the fans for voting me as the player of the month, it is always an honour”, he wrote alongside pictures of the award presentation.
