I’m  gonna say big thanks to the club board members, the coaches & my teammates and the fans for the great opportunity of being a member of the Ik Start. I wish everyone good luck for the future. Hei Start Yellow heartBlack heart.”

St. Pauli manager Timo Schultz explains Aremus' advantages and praises the scouting department.

“In terms of player type, he's exactly what we need: a ball conqueror, an aggressive player who thinks against the ball, but still has a fine technique and can resolve situations with the ball.

“I'm excited, I'm looking forward to the boy, I've only met him through video so far. I think he fits into the group very well, “Schultz said.

Also, Sports director Andreas Bornemann said: “Afeez Aremu corresponds to the profile that we were still looking for for the defensive midfield. He brings athleticism and aggressiveness to duels and, despite his young age, has plenty of professional experience. That's why we believe that joining us will not be difficult for him. "
