SUPER Eagles
defender, Leon Balogun has been equipped to stop top stars such as Argentina’s Lionel
Messi and Croatia’s Mario Mandzukic when hostilities begin in Group D at the FIFA
2018 World Cup in Russia after taking delivery of new Energy Mode X18+ speed
boots from renowned kit manufacturer, adidas, Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports.
The Brighton and Hove Albion new signing, who is
expected to test-run the new boots when the Super Eagles take on the Three
Lions of England in an international friendly at the Wembley Stadium on
Saturday, displayed his new arrivals on his official Twitter account with the
caption, “Unleash speed with the new lightweight Energy Mode #X18
@adidasfootball #HereToCreate #CreatedWithAdidas.”
The boots worn by Mo
Salah in the Champions League final will also be worn by some of the world’s
top players such as Spain’s Diego Costa, Barcelona and Uruguay forward Luis
Suarez, Germany’s Thomas Muller, Brazil’s Gabriel Jesus and Korea’s Heung Min
Son at the World Cup in Russia.
According to adidas,
the Energy Mode X18+ is designed with new innovations to provide stability and
support at high speed. A laceless upper locks-down the mid-foot during high
speed moments, while a new outsole is engineered for lightweight movement.
