Musa scores again, suffers injury scare

By Akeem Lawal
LEICESTER City will be sweating over the fitness of Nigeria international, Ahmed Musa, who was forced out of Sunday’s 1-1 draw away to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Super Eagles forward scored his second consecutive goal for the Foxes with the equalizer in the 48th minute after Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen had put the hosts in front four minutes earlier from the spot.

Musa however collided with Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris as he stabs home the equalizer and had to receive treatment from Tottenham medical staff in the goalmouth before getting back to his feet. He was however replaced in the 68th minute by Jeffrey Schlupp.

This minor injury will be a worry for the Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr ahead of Nigeria's key World Cup qualifier against Algeria on 12 November.

The draw gives Leicester their first point away from home in the league this season while Tottenham have now gone five matches without a victory.

Musa's goal for Leicester at White Hart Lane was the first that Tottenham have conceded from open play in the league this season and Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino was "disappointed" with his side for allowing the equalizer.

"Disappointed. We created chances. We dominated the game. But I am disappointed with the way we conceded the goal. It's hard to lose two points. I was disappointed for the goal as the way we conceded was a little unlucky, "he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
