ORGANIZERS of Nigeria's first preseason tournament, Ogunjobi Gold Cup have assured fans that they can catch a glimpse of their teams performance, as all matches from the Kwara State Sports Complex, Ilorin will be live streamed.

General Coordinator, Tunde Shamsudeen told Ogunjobi Gold Cup Media: "We are glad that the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 have lifted the ban on contact sports, meaning Nigerians can begin to enjoy the beautiful round leather game.

"On our part as organizers of the Ogunjobi Gold Cup, the safety of everyone directly involved in the tourney is paramount. So the championship will be hosted with the COVID-19 guidelines set by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and the Kwara State Ministry of Health.

"We're also aware that some teams have conducted COVID-19 tests for their players and officials while other clubs are following suit. So since no fan will be allowed into the stadium, all players of teams taking part in the tourney will have temperature checks before and after matches we have got thermometers."

Ilorin capital of State of Harmony will be hosting the prestigious tournament for a record third time.

Recall Kano Pillars and Tornadoes emerged winners in the last two editions held in 2017 and 2019.
