3RD ZAINAB SALEH KARATE OPEN: Stakeholders clamour for more championships

MINISTER of Sports and Youth Development, Barrister Solomon Dalung has called for concerted efforts to push karate forward in the Nigeria.

Dalung made the call at the final of the third edition of the Zainab Saleh International Female Open Karate Championship held at the Molade Okoya-Thomas indoor sports hall of the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos last weekend.

Ghana, Togo teams for Zainab Saleh Karate Open

AFTER a two-day demonstrational workshop and  interactive sessions, the main championship for the third edition of Hajiya Zainab Saleh International Female Karate Open begins on Friday with karatekas from Republic of Benin, Togo, Ghana and clubs across Nigeria competing for honours at the Indoor Sports Hall of Sir Molade Okoya Thomas of the Teslim Balogun Stadium.

Over 100 karatekas were engaged in  a demonstrational workshop and  interactive sessions in the opening day of the third edition of Hajiya Zainab Saleh International Female Karate Championship which got underway at the Multi - purpose indoor hall of Sir Molade Okoya Thomas of the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Wednesday.
