NIGERIA Pro Wrestling Federation will be holding the Mock Wrestling Championship this Saturday, March 20th, at National Stadium, Surulere in Lagos.
The show scheduled for 10am, will feature approximately twenty of the NPWF and Nigeria’s biggest stars.
Those announced to be competing so far include Flying Dan Ko, De Mighty Man, Strong Bone Erujeje, Big Fish, Aliking the Action Disaster, Mr Sharpman Vic, Zion Lion, De Squeezer, Rocky Johnson, and Mighty Progress.
Some of Nigeria’s best female wrestlers will be in action also, including Iron Lady Becky, Stylish ’’J’’, and Alexandra De Queen.
NPWF President High Chief John Uche emphasized that the new executive of the federation are set to revolutionise the game in Nigeria, the biggest and most populated African nation to what it used to be at the inception of the sport in Nigeria in the late 60s and early 70s.
Uche revealed that fans will be able to attend the event which is taking place in the outdoor, open air National Stadium, adding that “Fans that are attending are required to wear face masks and follow Covid-19 safety protocols.”
He said Saturday’s event will help set the stage for the much hyped Battleground Championship Series tour that will kick off in Abuja in May and make tour stops throughout the country.
