Onyekuru: My family's the most important thing in my life

By Akeem Lawal
SUPER Eagles forward, Henry Onyekuru has revealed what his family meant to him, saying they are the most important thing in his life.

The Monaco forward who is on loan at Galatasaray made the declaration while responding to the questions asked by the Yellow and Red team via a social media account.

Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports that the Nigeria international and his beautiful wife Esther have been together for several years but got married in July 2019. The couple are blessed with two kids; a two-year-old son and newly-born baby girl.

Asked what the most important thing for him in this life, he replied: “To me, my family is the most important thing because most times you don’t expect every game to be good. Sometimes when you had a bad game, you go home and you feel relieved when you see your wife, your son or daughter. You forget things.

“I can remember when I was at Finch Farm for my rehabilitation in Everton, each time I go home after my rehab for the week, I feel relieved when I see my son, I feel good. It is the best feeling ever.

“I always try to call them before every game just for them to wish me good luck. It’s more important to me because their support and everything is the best feeling. It was unfortunate they were not there at the stadium when we took the Championship last season, but this time I will make sure they are there live. So family is the best thing ever,” the 22-year-old said in a short video via his verified Twitter handle.
