SUPER Eagles and Galatasaray forward, Henry Onyekuru has admitted that he is missing football and fans amid the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic, Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports.
The coronavirus pandemic has halted activity in all professional competitions across the globe with Turkey’s Super Lig suspended indefinitely.
During the compulsory stay at home, Galatasaray media sent a message to Onyekuru via the clubs official Twitter handle, saying: “Thank you, @henryconyekuru. We missed seeing you. See you again soon, on healthy days.”
The Nigeria international then replied: “I thank you! I too miss football and our fans, I hope everything will be fine as soon as possible. I wish everyone healthy days.”
While calling for the “Stay Home” on his social media account, the 22-year-old also prayed for end to the Coronavirus pandemic.
"I pray that we will overcome this problem soon and be safe and healthy in everyone's home,” he tweeted.
Onyekuru enjoyed a successful season at Galatasaray scoring 14 goals in 31 appearances during his first loan spell from Everton as he helped the Lions clinch their 22nd top-flight title in the 2018-19 campaign.
