Super Eagles
defender, Shehu Abdullahi has expressed his joy after helping Bursaspor secure
their second consecutive game win in the Turkish Super Lig with a 2-1 victory over
Konyaspor that paraded Cameroonian legend, Samuel Eto’o.
The 25 year old who
was in action for 90 minutes was also thrilled with the opportunity to play
against the former Barcelona, Inter Milan forward in the matchday 31 encounter
decided at the Bursa Büyükşehir Belediye Stadyumu on Monday night. The
Cameroonian started the game for Konyaspor and was substituted in the 46th
minute by Adis Jahovic.
Abdullahi who was
presented a replica jersey by the 37 year old Cameroonian, uploaded a picture on
his official Instagram page @shehu.official with the caption: “Fantastic win
tonight! Great 3 points! Always great to grace the pitch with football legends!
Thank you @setoo9.”
The Nigeria
international has now featured in 12 league games for the club since joining from
Cypriot club Anorthosis Famagusta in January.
His international
teammates; William Troost-Ekong featured for just five minutes after replacing
Ertugrul Ersoy late in the game, while Mikel Agu was an unused substitute.
Bursaspor sit in 10th
position in the Turkish Super League table with 39 points from 31 games.
